17. Crossing the Red Sea (Exodus 14: 15 - 18)
In order for Pharaoh letting the Israelites go, God brought down ten plagues to Egypt. To lead the Israelites out of Egypt to enter Canaan, God also performed a lot of miracles. God is almighty and fearful as described below.
Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him! For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. (Psalm 33: 8 9)
Yet, why did God often do things the hard way? Starting from dividing the Red Sea, why didn't God pave an easy exodus way for the people of Israel? What did God try to teach the Israelites? What could we learn from that?
